Large Bowl Studio Pottery by Julie & Tyrone Larson – Signed – Salmon / Coral

From an estate, here is a very large ceramic Bowl by Tyrone and Julie Larson, Piedmont North Carolina artists who have been working together since 1966.  This Octagon shaped Bowl is probably from 1986 or bit later.  It is 12.25″ across from side to side, 13.25″ across from point to point, and 3-3/8″ tall.  The glaze on this piece is a lovely coral / salmon / pink with white and gray speckles.  The bottom of this piece is what I find most intriguing; it steps down with five steps to the base.  The round center of the base, with the Larson signature, is 3″ in diameter.  When purchased, the rectangular white sticker was on the top of the bowl; I moved it to the gray glazed underside of the Bowl.  There are no defects on this vintage heavy piece (over 5 pounds without packaging materials and a box) from these well known and exhibited ceramic artists.  Please see all photos.
